Born in the confines of a college dorm room in middle Tennessee, Lighten Up Outdoors began as my own personal collection of DIY hiking gear. With a 3D printer, and a sewing machine I set out to make practical gear that wouldn't weigh me down. Once I realized just how many other people on trail faced the same problems I did, I set out to create more solutions that could improve everyone's outdoor experiences.

Each product we offer is personally part of my collection of things I take with me hiking/backpacking, and therefore designed with real world use at the forefront. Being tested and refined through my own many trips and adventures, it proves the performance and reliability of each item.
