It helps keep dirt and debris out, retains the O-ring, prevents leaks in your pack, and provides a easy carrying loop all in a lightweight package. This accessory is a great addition to your Sawyer filter while not adding to much bulk or weight.

Weight is approximately 5.5 Grams or 0.2 Ounces. Threads into the main threads of Sawyer brand water filters. Secures the O-ring, preventing it from falling out. Shields the filter from dirt and debris. Includes a convenient loop for hanging and carrying. Constructed from durable PLA Plus material. Multiple color options available.
Includes one filter cap per purchase, no filter or cordage included. Threads are similar to smart water bottle threads and may fit other filters, but has not been tested and is not guaranteed. Does not fit filters with a protruding spout, like the Sawyer mini, see my other end cap option to fit filters like those.
